Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LocalPilot website and service ("Service") operated by LocalPilot ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Account Creation

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to connect the Google Business Profile(s) you add to the Service.

2. Google Business Profile Access

LocalPilot requires you to authorize access to your Google Business Profile(s) via Google OAuth. By connecting a profile, you authorize us to respond to reviews, publish posts, and retrieve profile data on your behalf. You represent that you have the legal right to grant this access. You may revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings or by disconnecting the location in LocalPilot.

3. Subscription and Billing

LocalPilot is offered on a subscription basis with a 14-day free trial. By subscribing after the trial, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis at the rate shown at time of purchase. All fees are in US dollars. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer partial-period refunds.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation, including laws governing online reviews and advertising
• Generate fake, misleading, or fraudulent reviews
• Harass customers or post responses that are defamatory or threatening
• Use the review solicitation feature in a way that violates Google's review policies or applicable FTC guidelines
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the security of the Service

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms, including accounts that appear to be generating inauthentic reviews.

5. AI-Generated Review Responses

LocalPilot uses AI to generate responses to Google reviews on your behalf. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated responses are published automatically. You are responsible for monitoring responses and overriding any that are inaccurate or inappropriate.
• You remain legally responsible for all content published to your Google Business Profile, including AI-generated responses.
• We do not guarantee that AI responses will be accurate, appropriate for every context, or compliant with industry-specific regulations (e.g., healthcare, financial services).

6. Intellectual Property

The LocalPilot platform, software, and branding are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your business data and customer data. You grant us a limited license to use that data solely to provide the Service.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocalPilot and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. This includes any negative outcomes resulting from AI-generated review responses published to your profile. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Google API availability is outside our control — service interruptions caused by Google are not our liability.

9. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time. We may terminate your account for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your Google Business Profile connections will be removed and AI response/posting will cease.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New Jersey.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
